The clip kicks off with Aniston’s famed journalist character, Alex Levy, growing frustrated as she’s stuck in traffic, asking her driver, “What the hell is happening, Charlie?”

“I gotta get downtown,” she continues, as she’s trying to make it on time for an important work-related task.

As her driver apologizes while noting there’s “nowhere to go” because they’re “stuck” in traffic, Alex decides: “I’m walking.”

Getting out of the car, Aniston’s character immediately finds herself immersed in a protest. Those in attendance are shouting, “No more coal! No more oil! Keep the carbon in the soil!”

Alex, speaking aloud to herself, calls the protest “a circus” as she says she’s “never gonna make it” to her destination. However, in analyzing the scene, she gets a bold idea to report on the protest live on social media.

“I am at 23rd and Broadway, where traffic is at a standstill, where the city has come to a standstill, as the radical Earth activist group Extinction—,” she says, before being interrupted suddenly.

Out of nowhere, a protester hits Alex with oil, saying, “F— the media!”

And while the attack takes her by surprise, this doesn’t deter Alex from continuing to report on the unfolding situation. Handing the phone to her assistant, Alex asks her to “please keep filming” because she is “live” on social media.
