The Green Bay Packers are feeling themselves right now — and honestly, the rest of the NFC should probably be a little nervous.

After flexing their muscles in a statement win over the Steelers, Micah Parsons made headlines again — this time for showing respect to Aaron Rodgers with a “GOAT” take after the game. But that wasn’t the only Micah news Packers fans woke up to.

Matt Schneidman, who covers the Packers for The Athletic, decided to stir the pot on X with a cryptic post: “Micah will not play for the Packers again this season.”

Cue instant panic from the fanbase.

Turns out, it was a joke — Schneidman was actually talking about Micah Robinson, the rookie seventh-round pick who hasn’t suited up for a regular-season game yet. For context, Robinson was taken at No. 237 overall out of Tulane earlier this year. But Green Bay fans didn’t find the “Micah” bait funny at all. Many called Schneidman out for the click-chasing post, and let’s just say Packers Twitter wasn’t exactly amused.

Meanwhile, the real Micah Parsons is busy proving why the Packers traded for him in the first place. In seven games since joining Green Bay, he’s racked up 6.5 sacks, 17 tackles (six for loss), and 14 QB hits. Pro Football Focus has him graded as the league’s top edge rusher with an insane 93.0 rating.

According to The Athletic, ever since the Week 4 game against Parsons’ old team, he’s second in the league in both sacks and QB pressures. Head coach Matt LaFleur even said Parsons has “been very impactful,” forcing opposing teams to completely change their blocking schemes just to slow him down.

“I mean, sometimes you’ve got a lineman, a tight end, and a back all trying to keep him in check,” LaFleur said. “That’s a win for everyone else on our defense.”

And despite getting held half the time with no flag in sight, Parsons just keeps producing. LaFleur admitted it’s frustrating when calls are missed but praised his star edge rusher for staying locked in.

Bottom line: The Packers are surging, the defense is feeding off Parsons’ energy, and even the jokes about him are causing chaos online. Green Bay might just be turning into the NFC’s biggest problem.
