TST. David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown Laugh and Hug Each Other at Stranger Things Premiere After Bullying and Harassment Claims

David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown arrived together at the Stranger Things season 5 premiere in Los Angeles.
The two actors laughed and hugged each other on the red carpet upon their arrival, as well as posed for photos together. Brown, 21, plays Eleven on the show, and Harbour, 50, plays her adoptive dad, Jim Hopper.
Netflix posted video of Brown and Harbour’s entrance and hug at the premiere with the caption, “David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown arrive together for one last Stranger Things premiere 🥹”
The pair’s public embrace follows a Nov. 1 report from The Daily Mail of Brown’s lawsuit against fellow cast member Harbour, complete with “pages and pages of accusations.”

“Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season,” a source told The Daily Mail. “The investigation went on for months.”
Reps for Netflix, Brown and Harbour have not responded to requests from PEOPLE for comment.
The British actress, married to Jake Bongiovi, reportedly had a representative with her on set while filming the fifth and final series installment.
The actors have worked closely together on set since September 2015, when filming for the first season began in Atlanta. At the time, Brown was 11 years old.

During a 2016 episode of the That Scene with Dan Patrick podcast, Harbour opened up about the relationship he had built with Brown. “Millie and I have always had sort of a special relationship because I knew her when she was so young. I knew her before any of this big fame hit,” he said.
In the show, the actors’ characters have a tight-knit, surrogate parent relationship dynamic, which has unraveled through various storylines. Notably in season 3 of the Netflix hit series, Eleven and Hopper struggled with dynamics of independence and fatherly protection.
In press for earlier seasons of filming, both Harbour and Brown spoke about a father-daughter dynamic present offscreen. “We went through so many different emotions… we get angry at each other, we are like father and daughter,” Brown, then 14, told the crowd in 2018 at PaleyFest in Los Angeles, according to Refinery29.

In the panel, Brown said that the pair “got angry with each other” and expressed their feelings “on and off the set.” The Enola Holmes actress added, “Those scenes were so raw and real that the reward is the scenes.”
Since news of the lawsuit has emerged, past press appearances hinting at discomfort have resurfaced. A March 2024 interview with MTV started circulating again, featuring an uncomfortable moment between Brown and the interviewer.
In the clip, Brown is asked about her then-upcoming wedding to Bongiovi as the interviewer joked about a Stranger Things-themed wedding with Harbour officiating. The actress responded with “yes” before giving a confused look, which many viewers took as a moment of awkward or polite disagreement.

Harbour is currently embroiled in another controversy, with his ex-wife Lily Allen‘s new album West End Girl detailing the downfall of their marriage. Allen, 40, accused her ex-husband of infidelity in various capacities on the 14-track album. Harbour has not addressed the album.
On a song called “Dallas Major,” Allen sings “You know I used to be quite famous that was way back in the day / I probably should explain how my marriage has been open since my husband went astray.”
