The Opry Goes Pink for Its Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Event

The Opry Goes Pink event was a star-studded event held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. The lineup included Opry favorites Mandy Barnett, Amy Grant, The Isaacs, Riders in the Sky, Sophia Scott, and The Whites, with Underwood anchoring the night as an Opry member since 2008.
Square dancers twirled under the lights, the crowd swayed to bluegrass and contemporary country, and the barn backdrop glowed pink for the 17th annual Opry Goes Pink, a cherished Music City tradition.
Amy Grant flipped the ceremonial switch to bathe the backdrop in pink, a symbol of unity in the fight against breast cancer. The venue pledged $5 per ticket to Susan G. Komen, the nonprofit supporting breast cancer research and patient care.
Fans Can’t Get Enough
Underwood’s performance may have been the centerpiece, but her look was the exclamation point. Her pink gown glistened under the stage lights, and her soft-blonde locks added to the glow.
“The dress is stunning,” one viewer commented, while another gushed, “Love her new honey color hair!”

Someone else added, “Another winner of an outfit and still obsessed with your hair color.” It was clear the audience and fans online were just as dazzled as the live crowd.
Here’s a backstage look:
A Homecoming for Carrie Underwood
Fresh off her Las Vegas residency “REFLECTION,” Underwood returned to the Opry in top form. Her set, a mix of signature hits and heartfelt nods to the Opry’s legacy, reminded everyone why her voice remains one of country music’s most defining.
For the Oklahoma native, this stage is another home. She’s performed at the Opry over 100 times since her induction, and the reaction from the audience made it clear they were thrilled to see her back. One attendee summed it up perfectly on Instagram: “What a dream to be there.”
Carrie Underwood: From ‘Idol’ to Opry Icon
Born March 10, 1983, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Carrie Underwood’s story reads like a modern country fairytale. She shot to fame after winning “American Idol” in 2005, and her debut album “Some Hearts” became the best-selling solo female debut in country history, thanks to hits like “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Before He Cheats.”
Since then, she has sold more than 85 million records worldwide, won eight Grammys, and collected more ACM and CMT awards than most artists see in a lifetime. Alongside her career, she has continued to give back, supporting organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The look was classic Carrie Underwood, with elegance and power in equal measure. It was a reminder of why fans have loved her for two decades: that voice, that presence, and a connection to fans that never fades.
