The Dallas Cowboys community is in mourning after the heartbreaking news that Criscilla Crossland — former choreographer for the Cowboys Cheerleaders and beloved Netflix star — has passed away at the age of 45 following a long battle with colon cancer.
Known for her vibrant energy, artistic brilliance, and inspiring resilience, Crossland had become a pillar in the Cowboys family. Her choreography electrified AT&T Stadium for years, but her impact went far beyond the sidelines.
“Her artistry, passion and strength inspired so many in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders family,” read a tribute on the team’s official Instagram. “The spirit, talent, and heart she shared will never be forgotten.”
Crossland rose to national prominence in 2020 as the star of Netflix’s Country Ever After, which chronicled her life, her battle with cancer, and her unwavering faith. Fans were drawn to her optimism, even in the face of devastating news.
Cowboys cheerleaders past and present flooded social media with tributes. “Criscilla left a mark on everyone she came into contact with,” wrote Reece Weaver. “Such an incredible light to us all,” added Brooklyn Davis.
