A terrible snowstorm hit Istanbul, turning the bustling city into a cold white picture. The streets, which were usually filled with the sound of vehicles, now echoed only with the whistling wind and the limping footsteps of people trying to find their way home. In the midst of this scene, small creatures – abandoned dogs – shivered in the cold, lost, and almost homeless.

The volunteers of Atrium Mall decided not to stand by and watch. They opened the doors of the mall, prepared warm blankets, and placed bowls full of food and water. Step by step, gesture by gesture, they pulled the shivering dogs into a temporary shelter. The fearful eyes gradually replaced with peace; the cold bodies were warmed by human hands and hearts.
