RM Elon Musk Calls Out Billie Eilish: “Not the Sharpest Tool”

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has fired back at Billie Eilish after the singer criticized him and implied he should put his vast fortune to better use. Earlier, Eilish used her speech at the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards to call on billionaires to be more responsible with their wealth.
Musk Responds to Eilish’s Criticism
The exchange began when Eilish posted an Instagram story reacting to a carousel shared by MyVoiceMyChoice Org. The slideshow—titled “Elon Musk became the world’s first trillionaire. Here’s what he could do with it.”—listed ideas such as ending world hunger, rebuilding Gaza, and protecting endangered species.
Eilish, who is 23, reposted each slide and closed with a strongly worded message: “etc, f**g pathetic py b**h coward.” Her fan account, billieeilishtrs, later shared screenshots of her posts.
Musk spotted the fan page’s story and replied on X (formerly Twitter) with a jab of his own: “She’s not the sharpest tool in the shed.”
Eilish’s Ongoing Criticism of Billionaires
Eilish has repeatedly called for ultra-wealthy individuals to donate more of their personal fortunes to meaningful causes. At the Innovator Awards last month, she delivered a playful yet pointed message:
“Love you all, but there’s a few people in here who have a lot more money than me. If you are a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? No hate, but yeah. Give your money away, shorties.”
During the same event, host Stephen Colbert announced that the singer is donating $11.5 million from her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour. The funds will support organizations focused on climate justice, food equity, reducing carbon footprints, and other environmental initiatives.
