Lip reader reveals heartbreaking exchange between Erika Kirk and JD Vance during packed-out Turning Point USA event
A lip reader revealed the heartbreaking exchange between Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika, and Vice President JD Vance during her first Turning Point USA campus event following her husband’s assassination.
Erika Kirk introduced the Veep at the packed-out event at the University of Mississippi last Wednesday, describing him as a “very, very dear friend” to thunderous applause.
The pair then embraced and shared a brief exchange before Vance engaged in a question-and-answer session with students for over an hour.

“I’m proud of you,” Vance said to Kirk as they separated, lip reader Nicola Nickling told The Mirror.
“It’s not gonna bring him back,” the grief-stricken widow gut-wrenchingly replied, according to the expert.
Kirk’s appearance at the event marked seven weeks since her husband’s death.

Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old conservative influencer and founder of Turning Point USA, was shot dead while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.
The assassination, which was caught on camera, sent shockwaves throughout the country amid rising concerns about political violence.

The alleged gunman, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was arrested days later and charged with aggravated murder and related crimes.
He could face death by firing squad if convicted.
Erika Kirk, a mom of two, was also overwhelmed with emotion as her dead husband’s voice introduced her on stage in front of 10,000 supporters at the school.

She even almost bailed, according to the lip reader.“I can’t do this, I don’t want to do it,” she told her assistant before her appearance, adding, “Give me a second.”
It was the first time the widow had participated in a TPUSA event since her husband’s death. She was named CEO of the company after he was shot.
