SAT. BREAKING: New investigation shows the Trump team LIED about the raid in which goons zip-tied naked children! They found NO dangerous criminals and NO gang members — just terrified kids, immigrants, and US citizens who they proceeded to brutalize!

The nation was horrified a month ago when Trump’s deportation thugs raided an apartment building in the middle of the night, dragging naked kids from their beds and zip-tying them before tossing them into unmarked vans — along with their parents and anyone unlucky enough to be in the building — to be taken off to detention centers.

“They was terrified. The kids was crying. People was screaming. They looked very distraught. I was out there crying when I seen the little girl come around the corner, because they was bringing the kids down, too, had them zip tied to each other,” said witness Eboni Watson. “That’s all I kept asking. What is the morality? Where’s the human? One of them literally laughed. He was standing right here. He said, ‘f*** them kids.'”

The Trump administration justified this appalling show of violence by claiming that the building was a hotbed of Tren de Aragua members, the Venezuelan gang that the Trump team blames for everything wrong in America.

A ProPublica investigation found that — surprise! — they were f*cking lying again!

Stephen Miller declared that the building was “filled with TdA terrorists,” that the raid had “saved God knows how many lives” and that it was “one of the most successful law enforcement operations that we’ve seen in this country.”

But a month later, ProPublica reports that “federal prosecutors have not filed criminal charges against anyone who was arrested. Nor have they revealed any evidence showing that two immigrants arrested in the building belonged to the Tren de Aragua gang, or even provided their names…Although officials said they had intelligence about guns, drugs and explosives in the building, they have not revealed evidence that they seized anything illicit.”

What they did do was ruin the lives of innocent people. Jhonny Manuel Caicedo Fereira, an immigrant from Venezuela, had an asylum application, a job at a taco restaurant, and a girlfriend whose daughter attended elementary school across the street. He had no criminal record. Trump’s goons arrested him, paraded him as though he was a criminal, and then deported him. “I lost everything,” he said in a phone interview from his mother’s home in the Venezuelan city of Valencia. “For those fools, everyone from Venezuela is a criminal.”

This seriously calls into question the legality of the raid in the first place, and is a reminder that not only is the Trump administration lying about almost everything, they are gluttons for sadistic violence. This entire debacle was just so they could parade innocent people in front of the cameras and make it look like they’re accomplishing something beyond abusing their own citizens and wasting taxpayer dollars playing soldier.
