RM Are Morgan Wallen and Jason Aldean Performing at Turning Point USA’s Halftime Show?

A viral rumor claiming that country stars Morgan Wallen and Jason Aldean will appear at Turning Point USA (TPUSA)’s halftime show seems to be false.
TPUSA, the conservative group co-founded by political activist Charlie Kirk—who was fatally shot during a public debate at Utah Valley University last month—has not made any official announcements about performers.
Newsweek contacted representatives for TPUSA, Wallen, and Aldean on Tuesday for clarification but has not yet received a response.

Why This Matters
The rumor emerged after last month’s announcement that Bad Bunny will headline the Super Bowl LX halftime show, sparking a heated cultural debate. TPUSA responded by unveiling an “All-American Halftime Show” scheduled to coincide with the Super Bowl in protest.
Many conservatives and MAGA supporters criticized the NFL’s decision, arguing that the halftime performance should better represent “traditional American values.” Bad Bunny, who primarily performs in Spanish and has previously criticized former President Donald Trump, became a flashpoint in that controversy.
The Rumor
A viral post on X (formerly Twitter) from user @NewswirePatriot stated:
“Morgan Wallen and Jason Aldean confirm they will duet the Star-Spangled Banner at the Turning Point USA Halftime Show. Will you be watching?”
The post has amassed nearly 180,000 views and 17,000 likes, despite lacking any verified source.
When another X user, @LindaTraitz, asked Elon Musk’s Grok AI to verify the claim, the chatbot responded:
“No, I couldn’t find official confirmation from Trump, Morgan Wallen, or their teams about any joint appearance. Reliable sources show no announcements—it appears speculative. Wait for verified statements.”
What’s Been Confirmed So Far
TPUSA first teased its upcoming halftime event on October 9, posting:
“HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT: Turning Point USA is excited to present The All-American Halftime Show. Performers and event details coming soon. 2.8.2026.”
Since then, speculation has run wild. Earlier, another viral post by @JohnStrandUSA claimed that Aldean, Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, Travis Tritt, John Rich, and Lee Greenwood would appear at the show—amassing 1.8 million views.
However, a community note attached to that post clarified:
“TPUSA announced an alternative ‘All-American Halftime Show’ for Feb. 8, 2026. It is not the official NFL Super Bowl halftime. As of Oct. 12, 2025, no lineup has been confirmed.”
Even conservative commentator Jack Posobiec, who is affiliated with TPUSA, shut down the rumors, writing:
“No artists have been announced for the TPUSA Halftime Show yet.”
The Artists’ Backgrounds
Jason Aldean has long been outspoken about his support for Trump. During a March Instagram Q&A, he and his wife Brittany Aldean praised the former president:
“We’ve supported him for a long time,” Aldean said. “He’s doing what he promised and saving taxpayers a lot of money.”
Brittany added:
“This is exactly why I voted for him—I sleep better at night.”
Morgan Wallen, in contrast, has generally avoided political commentary. However, Variety recently described his music as “Trump-coded.” In his song “Working Man’s Song,” Wallen laments:
“Red, blue, right, left, they still workin’ us to death. And whatever’s left over at the end’s to the IRS.”
The Broader Context
After the NFL confirmed Bad Bunny as the official 2026 halftime performer, reactions were split.
In a Newsmax interview, Donald Trump criticized the choice, saying:
“I’ve never heard of him. I don’t know why they’re doing it—it’s crazy.”
Meanwhile, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell defended the decision:
“The NFL isn’t reconsidering Bad Bunny. Every halftime show draws criticism—it’s impossible to please hundreds of millions of viewers.”
Bad Bunny responded with pride, stating:
“This moment goes beyond me. It’s for my people, my culture, and our history. Tell your grandmother—we’re doing the Super Bowl Halftime Show.”
What’s Next
With the Super Bowl LX set for February 8, 2026, the lineup for TPUSA’s alternative event remains unconfirmed.
On a recent episode of The Right View with Lara Trump, Lara Trump suggested that rapper Tom MacDonald—known for his MAGA-themed lyrics—would be a great fit:
“I’d love to perform with him, maybe do a karaoke session. He’s awesome.”
MacDonald responded to Newsweek:
“Lara’s got great taste. Hopefully we can make that happen.”
For now, though, until official announcements are made, claims about Wallen or Aldean’s participation in TPUSA’s halftime show remain unsubstantiated.
