Billie Eilish, born Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell, is using her voice as currency — and has plenty to spend on the world’s richest man, Elon Musk.
On Tuesday, the U.K.-based feminist organization My Voice, My Choice, shared a carousel post of images about Musk, highlighting various ways he could spend his fortune. Among those solutions were ending world hunger, curing disease and protecting endangered species. Eilish saw the post and shared her own thoughts on Musk’s handling of his wealth and influence.
“Fucking pathetic pussy bitch coward,” the singer wrote in a now-expired Instagram Story.
This isn’t the first time Eilish has spoken out about the questionable ethics of billionaires. In October, while being honored at WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards, the “Bad Guy” singer posed a question many have wondered.
“We’re in a time right now where the world is really, really bad and really dark, and people need empathy and help more than, kind of, ever — especially in our country,” she stated. “And I’d say if you have money, it would be great to use it for good things and maybe give it to some people that need it.”
“And if you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire?” Eilish asked. “No hate, but yeah, give your money away, shorties.”
According to the Associated Press, a shareholder vote has cleared the way for Musk to become the world’s first trillionaire if he meets a set of long-term performance goals.
