NXT Rescue Mission Transforms Abused Luna and Her Puppies from Chains to Cherished Companions

Luna’s heartbreaking story began to change when JoJo discovered a plea on social media that sparked hope for the abused dog and her  puppies. Motivated to make a difference, JoJo and her team quickly organized a rescue effort.

A key player in this rescue was Stephani, who worked tirelessly from behind the scenes to liberate Luna and ensure the well-being of her family.

Once freed, Luna, along with her six daughters and one son, were transported to a safe haven, marking the start of their remarkable journey of recovery.

Luna had endured years of neglect, evident from her frail body and tired eyes. Forced to endure repeated pregnancies while kept on a chain, her condition spoke volumes of her suffering.

But once she was in the car, Luna seemed to realize her fortunes were changing. She flashed her rescuers a hopeful smile, a turning point in her story.

At the shelter, Luna and her puppies received the urgent care they needed. They had access to food, warmth, and medical attention.

Luna, for the first time in years, could relax in a soft bed with regular meals, and she nursed her puppies without fear of hunger or harm lurking nearby.

Raising seven puppies is a significant task, yet Luna embraced this responsibility with remarkable strength. The shelter staff were there every step of the way, ensuring the puppies were vaccinated, microchipped, and received preventative care.

Meanwhile, Luna began her own healing journey, receiving treatments for heartworms, fleas, and ticks, as well as much-needed nourishment.

Every day brought progress. By the 13th day, the puppies had opened their eyes and were beginning to explore their surroundings. Foster caregiver Amy provided a loving environment that allowed them to thrive.

Luna began to blossom as well. Her energy returned, and she adjusted to a freedom and level of care she had never known before.

By the 55th day, Luna’s transformation was nothing short of amazing. She had made a complete recovery, and her puppies were lively, healthy, and ready for adoption.

Seeing these joyful, confident  pups was a testament to Luna’s resilience and the dedication of her rescuers.

Today, Luna and her puppies are flourishing. Each of her pups has found a forever home, and Luna, after being spayed and restored to health, is once again looking forward to the future.
