The two-hour event will air live on Wednesday, December 3, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and simulcast on Peacock. This marks McEntire’s first time hosting the iconic broadcast, which celebrates the lighting of the world-famous Christmas tree in New York City’s Rockefeller Center.
In addition to her hosting duties, McEntire will perform during the evening’s festivities. An all-star lineup of musical guests is expected, with details to be announced closer to the event. The special is produced by Universal Television in association with Jesse Collins Entertainment, with Glenn Weiss directing.
Currently, McEntire stars on NBC’s The Voice and the sitcom Happy’s Place, which returns for its second season on November 7.
