LDT “Reba at Rockefeller: Christmas Magic Returns to New York City”
NEW YORK CITY — Country music legend Reba McEntire is set to bring holiday cheer back to the heart of Manhattan with Reba at Rockefeller: Christmas Magic Returns to New York City, NBC’s annual celebration of the Rockefeller Center tree lighting. The special will air live on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, marking the 92nd lighting of one of America’s most beloved holiday traditions.
Stepping into her role as host and performer, Reba will lead a night filled with classic carols, heartfelt moments, and dazzling performances beneath the glittering lights of Rockefeller Plaza. NBC announced that McEntire will also perform a new rendition of “Silent Night” alongside a gospel choir — a moment producers are calling “the emotional centerpiece of the evening.”

“There’s something truly magical about New York at Christmas,” Reba said in a press statement. “To be part of a tradition that brings joy to so many families is a real honor.”
The live broadcast will also feature guest performances from Michael Bublé, Kelly Clarkson, Pentatonix, and Kacey Musgraves, blending country warmth with timeless holiday sparkle. The Rockefeller Center tree itself — a 90-foot Norway spruce adorned with over 50,000 LED lights — will be the star of the night, capped by the iconic Swarovski crystal star.
NBC executives say this year’s production aims to “reignite the spirit of togetherness” after several years of toned-down celebrations. The event will also stream live on Peacock, making it accessible to fans worldwide.
Reba’s hosting marks her return to holiday television after her critically acclaimed appearance on CMA Country Christmas, where she was praised for her warmth, humor, and vocal brilliance.
As snow begins to fall over Fifth Avenue, one thing is certain: Reba McEntire will light up Rockefeller Center — and America’s hearts — this Christmas season.
