LDT “Hollywood Walk of Fame Honors Horror Legends John Carpenter and Robert Englund in a Spooktacular Halloween Season Tribute”
This Halloween, Hollywood is getting a chillingly perfect celebration of cinema’s dark side. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is set to shine under a touch of horror magic, as two genre icons — John Carpenter and Robert Englund — receive their long-awaited stars, cementing their legacies among entertainment’s immortals.
Carpenter, the visionary filmmaker behind Halloween, The Thing, and Escape from New York, received his 2,806th star earlier this year on April 3, 2025, at 7000 Hollywood Boulevard, outside the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. His ceremony drew an emotional crowd of fans and collaborators, including Kurt Russell and Keith David, who celebrated the “Master of Horror” for redefining what fear could feel like on screen.

Now, as October draws to a close, horror’s other enduring figure — Robert Englund, forever known as Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street — will follow in Carpenter’s footsteps. Englund’s 2,826th star will be unveiled on Halloween Day, October 31, 2025, at 6644 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the Larry Edmunds Book Store. The ceremony will feature special guests Eli Roth and Heather Langenkamp, and the date couldn’t be more fitting — honoring the man who made nightmares part of pop culture.
Together, Carpenter and Englund’s back-to-back honors mark a rare double tribute to the horror genre, celebrating decades of artistry that shaped modern filmmaking. Their recognition during the spooky season underscores how horror — once dismissed as pulp — now commands the respect it deserves in Hollywood history.
The public is invited to attend both ceremonies, and the events will be livestreamed on the official Walk of Fame website for fans worldwide.
This Halloween, Hollywood Boulevard won’t just sparkle — it’ll scream. 🔥
