LDT. George Strait Expands 2026 Lubbock Return With Second Stadium Night After Huge Fan Demand
LUBBOCK, Texas — What started as a one-night homecoming has grown into a full Texas-sized concert weekend. Country icon George Strait will take over Jones AT&T Stadium in April 2026, performing two back-to-back shows after an overwhelming surge in fan interest.
Strait initially announced a single stadium date for April 25, 2026, marking his first return to Lubbock in over a decade. But within hours of the announcement, demand skyrocketed — prompting the addition of a second show on April 24.

Two Nights, Two Unique Lineups
Each concert will feature a different roster of supporting acts, giving fans a chance to choose their experience — or attend both.
Friday, April 24
- Zach Top — praised for his neo-traditional country style
- Dylan Gossett — rising Texas singer-songwriter known for his raw, heartfelt sound
Saturday, April 25
- Miranda Lambert — superstar vocalist and multi-Grammy winner
- Hudson Westbrook — fast-growing Texas talent making a local hometown appearance
Strait’s Signature In-The-Round Setup
Both shows will use Strait’s signature in-the-round stage design, placed in the center of the football field and surrounded by fans on all sides. The setup transforms the stadium into a more intimate environment despite holding more than 60,000 attendees, ensuring clear sightlines throughout the venue.
Why Lubbock Matters
The return to Jones AT&T Stadium — located on the Texas Tech University campus — is significant for both Strait and the region. Lubbock’s deep musical tradition and loyal country fanbase have made it one of the most passionate markets in the state, and the fast sell-out response reflects that bond.
Tickets & Availability
Presale access begins November 17 at 10 a.m. CT, with general public tickets going live on November 21. Prices range widely, from standard seating to premium floor packages topping several thousand dollars.
Some retailers in Lubbock — including United Supermarkets, Market Street, and Amigos — will distribute presale codes for fans hoping to secure early access.
A Texas Moment Fans Won’t Want to Miss
With two different nights, two star-studded opening lineups, and the King of Country returning to a stadium full of hometown energy, the 2026 Lubbock shows are shaping up to be one of the most anticipated live music events of the year.
