LDT “Foo Fighters Unveil 2026 North American Stadium Tour, Drop New Single & Play Cleveland”

Rock veterans Foo Fighters have officially announced an ambitious 2026 North American stadium tour titled the Take Cover Tour, alongside the release of a powerful new single, “Asking for a Friend”. The band will make its long-awaited return to Cleveland on August 10 2026 with a show at Huntington Bank Field in a date that carries added significance as frontman Dave Grohl is a native of northeast Ohio.

The tour spans 12 major cities across the United States and Canada beginning August 4 in Toronto and concludes September 26 in Las Vegas. Supporting acts include Queens of the Stone Age, with additional support from Mannequin Pussy and Gouge Away on select dates.

In tandem with the tour announcement, the band issued “Asking for a Friend” — a dramatic rocker that builds from a slow-burn riff into an intense, cathartic chorus. Grohl described the track as “one of many songs to come,” hinting at further new music on the horizon.

Grohl commented on the milestone tour: “Since our return to the stage … we have been reminded of why we love and are forever devoted to doing this Foo Fighters thing. From reuniting as a band and staring at a list of 30 years worth of songs to brush off, […] the sun is finally rising over the horizon.”

The August 10 Cleveland date marks a meaningful home-coming. Although Foo Fighters have appeared in the region before, this will be the band’s first full stadium show in Cleveland, and promises to be one of the most anticipated rock events in Northeast Ohio in years.

Tickets for the tour go on sale to the public on October 31, with presales beginning October 28 for newsletter subscribers. Fans interested in the Cleveland show or any of the stops are advised to register early.
