Erika Kirk has been appointed CEO and Chair of the Board of Turning Point USA, assuming leadership of the prominent conservative youth organization following the tragic death of her husband, Charlie Kirk.

Charlie Kirk, the organization’s founder, was fatally shot during a campus event at Utah Valley University in September 2025. In the wake of the tragedy, Erika Kirk has pledged to carry forward his vision and mission, emphasizing continuity and growth.

“The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry,” Erika said in her first public remarks since the incident, underlining her commitment to the organization’s student-focused initiatives.

Erika Kirk brings her own experience to the role. A former pageant winner and Liberty University alumna, she has previously hosted a devotional podcast and managed a Christian-focused fashion brand. She has also been an active participant in Turning Point USA’s activities prior to her appointment.

Since the announcement, the organization has reported a surge in student interest, including thousands of new requests to start or join chapters. Kirk has announced plans to continue campus tours and major events initiated by her late husband, signaling an active role in shaping the next chapter of the organization’s work.
