Jason Aldean’s New Album, Songs About Us, Set To Release In April

On Friday (November 7), country star Jason Aldean announced he was releasing his newest album, Songs About Us.

The album, set to release in April, will be about the “highs, the lows, and everything in between.”

Jason and his wife, Brittany, even have their very first single together on the album.

The new album also includes the newly-released “Hard To Love You,” “Lovin’ Me Too Long,” and “Help You Remember.” Aldean shared that the 20-song album is all about the best and worst moments in life.

“It means the world when one of my songs helps someone through a hard time—or celebrates their best moments,” Aldean said. “This album is about all of that—the highs, the lows, and everything in between. Every track started with a real story or feeling, and together we turned those experiences into music. In the end, I realized this album is about all of us. These are songs about us.”

Help You Remember Raises Awareness About Dementia

Help You Remember is a deeply personal song for Jason and Brittany, as it shares their experience with walking through a dementia diagnosis with her own father.

Jason sings about missing someone right in front of you, and provides a glimpse of what life looks like day-to-day when a loved one is dealing with this disease.

“Our journey with dementia❤️‍🩹 The heartache that diseases like this bring to a family is something we know all too well. We hope this song brings comfort to anyone going through something similar🙏🏼 ,” Brittany captioned the new video.

Her post features a touching montage of videos from her childhood to the present day, showing special moments shared with her dad, from playful, carefree days as a kid to heartfelt memories together now.

The lyrics read:

The heart knows what’s hiding / Even when the mind can’t find it / Even if you don’t, I still ain’t gonna stop tryin’, yeah / To help you remember / What I’ll never forget

Calling dementia “the long goodbye,” Brittany opened up about the painful reality of watching her father fade and encouraged others going through the same thing to seek help and lean on support through their journey
