Robert Irwin Dancing With The Stars Experience Is A Family Affair
10 years ago in 2015, Bindi Irwin competed on – and won- Dancing With The Stars. Now, her younger brother Robert is competing on the show!
Partnered with professional dancer Witney Carson, Robert has been a fan favorite and dazzling the judges week after week, an impressive feat considering he came into Dancing with the Stars with no prior dance experience.
After topping the leaderboard on premiere night, Robert has consistently remained near the top of the rankings, earning praise for both his skill and charisma on the dance floor.
The entire Irwin family has temporarily relocated to Los Angeles to cheer him on each week. Bindi, her husband Chandler Powell, their daughter Grace, and Robert and Bindi’s mother Terri Irwin have become regulars in the ballroom audience, proudly supporting Robert’s journey every step of the way.
Terri also joined him for his “Dedication Night” dance on October 14th, where he performed a contemporary routine to Phil Collins’ “You’ll Be In My Heart”
Robert’s Plans To Spend Halloween With His Niece
Bindi, Chandler and Grace have had to miss the past few shows due to illness, and even missed Halloween week.
“Chandler, Grace and I all got a bug and I’ve completely lost my voice now…so we will be cheering (quietly) from our living room for Robert and Witney on @dancingwiththestars. They have an incredible dance for Halloween week, beyond proud of their hard work and dedication,” Bindi wrote on Instagram.
Robert assured fans that despite their absence from the show, he would be spending his Halloween trick-or-treating with his niece and on a “sugar high.”
“We’re gonna try and match, we’re gonna dress up together Grace and I,” Robert told Access Hollywood.
Robert often posts photos of him and Grace together, even dubbing himself as the “Funcle (Fun-Uncle)”.
