LDH .Jimmy Fallon breaks hearts with a raw tribute post as the late night host mourns a loss fans never saw coming.

LATE night star Jimmy Fallon has announced that his family suffered a heartbreaking loss in an emotional statement.
The Late Night host, 51, shared six sweet private photos and began his post with “she was the last name we signed on every birthday card.”

Fallon’s family golden retriever Gary died at 13 and a half years old, the host announced on his social media Monday.
“She was the last name we signed on every birthday card,” he wrote in the devastating statement.
Fallon described the pup as “our first baby” as he and wife Nancy Juvonen adopted her before having daughters Winnie Rose and Frances Cole via surrogacy in 2013 and 2014.
He also said she was a “therapist, a pillow, a big sister, a schoolmarm, a comedian, a party girl, and a rebel.”
“Definitely not a watchdog—she would have let burglars in and shown them where we kept the bacon and American cheese slices,” he joked.
Gary “loved a good scratch” and was always friendly with strangers, Fallon said.
The comedian happily remembered the moments when Gary would jump into their pool immediately after getting a bath, then lie down on the grass.
“That meant summer to me,” he wrote.

“The house is so quiet. The quiet is so loud. But that quiet is slowly being filled with stories about you and laughter amongst the sniffles.
“Thank you for everything. Gosh, we miss you so much. Goodnight, Gary.”

US TV host Jimmy Fallon left ‘feeling it’ the next morning after downing Buckfast on trip to Scotland
Fallon adopted Gary after she appeared as a political debate opponant in a sketch on Late Night, he told People in 2012.
“We were trying to have kids at the time, so I think this was just a think to kind of distract us while we’re working on that,” he said.
He chose her unique name because during her TV debut, the pup’s political pundit name was Gary Frick Jr.
Once they chose to adopt, Juvonen said, “You have to call it Gary.”

Fallon previously said that Gary was a great sport with his girls when they were toddlers, as she let them pull on her without batting an eye.
He also revealed that Frances was especially close with the family dog.
“I go, ‘You love Gary?’ She goes, ‘Yeah!’ [I go,] ‘Who loves you?’ And she goes, ‘Only Gary’ I go, ‘No, that’s not true,’” he joked with People.
Fallon said that watching his little girls grow up with Gary as their companion made the annoyances of raising a puppy worth it.
“It’s companionship. It’s so much love. It’s unconditional love,” he said.
“I try to do everything with my dog.”
