The mobile lounge, which was transporting passengers to Concourse D, struck the dock at an angle, causing a sudden jolt that startled everyone on board. As the lounge came to a halt, passengers were evacuated via stairs, many visibly shaken but relieved to escape what could have been a much more serious situation.   Emergency responders quickly flooded the scene, with multiple ambulances arriving to assess the situation.   Fire and rescue personnel from the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority were on high alert, working diligently to evaluate the passengers for any potential injuries. The initial reports had indicated that 17 people were involved, but this number was later corrected to eight, highlighting the fast-paced nature of breaking news as updates rolled in.   Despite the dramatic circumstances, airport officials confirmed that flight operations remained unaffected. Travelers in the terminal continued their journeys, albeit with heightened awareness of the unfolding emergency just outside.  Jim Lokay, an anchor for Fox 5 DC, emphasized the swift response from emergency services and reassured the public that the incident was confined to the mobile lounge and had no connection to any aircraft.
