Citing that the billionaire ‘called back some of the workforce he fired a few days ago’ and that he ‘suspended Kathy Griffin for impersonating him on a parody account’ as well as the plans around the fee for blue tick verification, the star did not hold back.

“I’m getting off today because I just feel like, you know, it’s so messy and I’m tired of now having had certain kinds of attitudes blocked and now they’re back on,” the Sister Act star announced.

The 66-year-old hasn’t ruled out returning to Twitter if the situation is settled in the future. She continued: “I’m just gonna get out and if it settles down and I feel more comfortable, maybe I’ll come back. But as of tonight, I’m done with Twitter.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin described the social media app as ‘such a hellscape.’ and revealed she stopped reading it a while ago. On the flipside she admitted she had learned about some social movements through Twitter, leaving her torn about whether to continue using it.

“You’ve got this Elon Musk turning it into something it was never intended to be,” Hostin declared. “He says it’s gonna be the public square. Well I don’t want to be a part of that public square but I also don’t want to miss the valuable information that can be put on there.”

Soon after acquiring the social networking company, Musk, 51, said he would be launching a paid version of Twitter Blue to offer users of the platform ‘exclusive access to premium features’ costing $7.99 (£6.97) each month

On Saturday (5 November) Musk said the service would go live nationwide, however users will now reportedly have to wait to become verified, with Musk having allegedly pushed back the rollout of the well sought after blue ticks.

According to two ‘internal sources’ and an internal Slack channel reviewed by the New York Times, the launch has been pushed back by four days.

The social media platform has also let go of almost half its workforce due to a ‘massive drop in revenue’, according to Musk.

Twitter’s new owner previously tweeted that the ‘company is losing over $4m/day’.

However, it appears that the company is allegedly re-hiring some of the employees that were let go, Bloomberg reports.

The publication said that ‘according to two people familiar with the moves’, some employees were laid off ‘by mistake’.

Elon Musk makes shocking announcement about 13th child with Ashley St. Clair after trans statements

Musk made the announcement public on Twitter

Elon Musk has made an unexpected announcement about his 13th child.

Last year, it was reported that the SpaceX founder had welcomed another child, this time with Ashley St. Clair.

The baby’s believed to have been born in September 2024, but St. Clair didn’t publicly reveal that her son was the multibillionaire’s child until months later.

When it went public, Musk claimed that he didn’t know if the baby was actually his.

“I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out,” he said last March in light of her accusations that he was the father, adding: “No court order is needed. Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year.”

She responded at the time, saying that she’d requested he take a paternity test to confirm if her son was his or not, but he allegedly refused.

Fast forward to April, and the Wall Street Journal got its hands on receipts between St. Clair and Musk, which included a paternity test result showing there was a ‘99.9999%’ chance that Musk is the father.

Now the tech mogul appears to have publicly confirmed that the child is, in fact, his, as he pledged to get full custody of the one-year-old.

“I will be filing for full custody today, given her statements implying she might transition a one-year-old boy,” Musk tweeted today (January 12).

His comment comes after St. Clair, who was once a well-known right-wing activist, expressed her regrets about previous transphobic remarks she’d made.

Someone tweeted her: “You’ve previously engaged in blatant transphobia, how do you feel about trans people in the wake of noticing how the far right truly is?”

To which St. Clair responded with: “I feel immense guilt for my role. And even more guilt that things I have said in the past may have caused my son’s sister more pain. Idrk how to make amends for many of these things, but I have been trying incredibly hard privately to learn + advocate for those within the trans community that I’ve hurt.”

She added: “I also haven’t said much on this bc I have gone back and forth over whether my voice would be helpful on the issue since it will be framed as disingenuous or just turning bc I’m ‘scorned.’ Even this reply will become right wing hysteria but yeah I am sorry. Let me know how I can help.”

Despite Musk’s claim, St. Clair didn’t mention anything about ‘transitioning’ their young son, however.

UNILAD have approached both Musk and St. Clair for comment.
