VT. Obama Hails Steelers Hero for Teaming Up in the War on Hunger: ‘Your Impact Goes Beyond the Field
Former President Barack Obama has publicly thanked Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt after the NFL superstar joined his nationwide campaign to fight hunger across America.

Shortly after Obama’s viral post on X declaring that “more than 47 million Americans — including one in five children — don’t have reliable access to nutritious food,” Watt pledged a generous$120,000 donation to Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Feeding Pennsylvania, aiming to provide meals for families struggling through the winter months.
More than 47 million Americans — including one in five children — don’t have reliable, affordable access to nutritious food. And as the cost of living skyrockets, more families are depending on SNAP benefits, or food stamps, to put food on the table.— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) October 31, 2025
The gesture resonated deeply across the Steel City, where Watt remains one of the most beloved figures in franchise history. Through eight games this season, he has recorded38 tackles, 9.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles, once again leading one of the NFL’s most dominant defenses.
Speaking about his decision, Watt said:
“Pittsburgh has given me everything — the cheers, the pride, and the purpose. Giving back isn’t an act of charity; it’s a responsibility. No family in this city should ever have to wonder where their next meal will come from.”
Obama reposted the story with a heartfelt message:
“T.J. shows us what true leadership looks like — strength on the field, and compassion off it.”
According to sources close to the team, Obama also sent Watt apersonal gift to thank him for his contribution — believed to be a framed presidential football inscribed with the words ‘Play with power, lead with heart.’ The gesture instantly went viral, making Steelers fans prouder than ever.
As the Steelers prepare for their Week 9 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, Watt’s leadership continues to define the identity of Pittsburgh — a city built on grit, loyalty, and heart. 💛🖤
Texans Quarterback CJ Stroud Has Gone Viral For This Answer After Houston Lost Again This Week

Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud has gone viral for a bizarre post-game presser after his team’s heartbreaking Week 3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Facing a must-win situation in Duval County on Sunday, CJ Stroud and the Texans put up another lackluster effort on offense and wasted a strong outing by the defense, falling 17-10 to their AFC South rivals.
Stroud’s early-season struggles continued with a disappointing performance: 25 completions on 38 pass attempts for 204 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. With the loss, the Texans are 0-3 for the first time since 2020, Deshaun Watson’s final year with the organization.
The No. 2 pick of the 2023 NFL Draft tried to maintain a positive perspective in his post-game press conference, offering some interesting analysis that practically ever Texans fan will disagree with.
“I thought we ran the ball well. Somewhat threw it well,” CJ Stroud said. “The sun will rise up tomorrow, and we’ll be able to go back, so that’s a positive.”

The Texans rushed for only 87 yards on 19 carries in Sunday’s loss. They currently rank 23rd in rushing offense with a measly 95.0 yards per game, via ESPN. Star running back Joe Mixon has a serious ankle injury and may not even play this season.
Lead RB Nick Chubb has just 141 rushing yards in three games. If he doesn’t improve soon, the Texans will need to eye a change at RB.
CJ Stroud & Texans Are NFL’s Biggest Disappointment So Far
The Texans were the overwhelming favorites to win the AFC South at the start of the season, having won the division in consecutive years. With their three divisional foes in rebuilding mode, this was supposed to be a cakewalk for Houston.
But they sit at a horrendous 0-3 on the year, thanks largely to a terrible offensive line, lackluster passing game and virtually non-existent rushing offense. Losing 14-9 to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1 was excusable, but the stingy defense let them down in Week 2 against the
Losing to Jacksonville when you held them to 17 points is also tough for DeMeco Ryans to swallow. The Texans are 0-3 and already three games behind the
Indianapolis Colts for the division crown, and it’s up to Stroud to quickly turn this around.
