C. Kansas City Chiefs Move to Steal Maxx Crosby After Baltimore Ravens Trade Collapse

Las Vegas, NV. A dramatic twist has shaken the early stages of the NFL trade market after a blockbuster deal involving one of the league’s most feared pass rushers suddenly collapsed before it could become official.
Earlier this week, reports indicated that the Las Vegas Raiders had reached a tentative agreement to send star edge rusher Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a massive trade package reportedly centered around
two first-round draft picks.
The potential move immediately generated attention across the league. Crosby has built a reputation as one of the NFL’s most relentless pass rushers, and his arrival in Baltimore would have dramatically strengthened a Ravens defense already known for its physical identity.
However, the situation took a stunning turn Tuesday when the Ravens backed out of the deal, leaving the blockbuster agreement unfinished before the new league year begins.
According to ESPN insider

Adam Schefter, negotiations between Las Vegas and Baltimore stalled late in the process. Because the NFL’s official trade window does not open until 4:00 p.m. ET on March 11, deals discussed during the legal tampering period cannot become official until contracts from the previous season expire. As a result, Crosby technically was never traded.
With Baltimore stepping away, the door immediately reopened for other contenders.
Sources around the league indicate the Kansas City Chiefs quickly moved to enter trade discussions with Las Vegas, hoping to capitalize on the Ravens’ withdrawal and potentially steal one of the league’s elite defensive stars.
One proposed framework circulating in national discussions would send Crosby to Kansas City in exchange for
Omarr Norman-Lott, the Chiefs’ 2025 second-round pick (No. 63 overall), the No. 17 overall pick in this year’s draft, and a 2027 second-round selection.
Such a package would give the Raiders both immediate defensive depth and significant draft capital as the franchise continues reshaping its roster.
For Kansas City, the potential move would represent a bold all-in push for another Super Bowl run behind quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Pairing Crosby with the Chiefs’ defensive front could instantly transform their pass rush and add another elite playmaker to a championship roster.
For now, the situation remains fluid. But what once looked like a completed blockbuster trade has now turned into one of the most intriguing developing stories of the NFL offseason, with the Chiefs attempting to turn Baltimore’s hesitation into a major opportunity.
