Country music icon Reba McEntire will take center stage as the host of this year’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center special, marking her debut as the lead for the beloved holiday broadcast. The two-hour live event is set to air on NBC on Wednesday, December 3, at 8 p.m. ET, with a simultaneous stream available on Peacock.
In addition to hosting, McEntire will perform during the special, joining a lineup of musical guests that will be announced closer to the event. Expressing her excitement, McEntire shared that she is thrilled to experience New York City during the festive season and to be part of the iconic tree lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center.
Currently, McEntire also serves as a coach on NBC’s The Voice and stars in the network sitcom Happy’s Place, which returns for its second season this November. For the outdoor festivities, she plans to stay warm with layered clothing and a heated vest, embracing the wintery New York weather.
