LDT. Kid Rock Opens “The Detroit Cowboy” in Nashville, Debuts New Behind-the-Scenes Documentary
NASHVILLE — Kid Rock is expanding his footprint in Music City with the launch of his newest venture, The Detroit Cowboy, a high-energy restaurant blending Motor City grit with Nashville’s signature charm. The venue, located at 500 11th Avenue North, officially opened in partnership with the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group, known for reviving iconic Detroit institutions like Joe Muer Seafood.
A Rock-Inspired Dining Experience
Designed to feel like a bold extension of Kid Rock’s personality, The Detroit Cowboy is packed with curated memorabilia and nods to the legends who shaped American music. Visitors will spot pieces connected to Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Bob Seger, Eminem, and more — all arranged in a space that marries rustic toughness with modern flair.
Kid Rock says his mission was to “take the foo-foo out of fine dining,” creating a spot where the atmosphere is elevated but never uptight. The restaurant’s tone leans rowdy yet refined — a place where high-end steakhouse dishes meet down-home attitude.
Menu: Big Flavor, Big Personality

The Detroit Cowboy’s menu is just as ambitious as its décor. Guests can expect:
- A massive 32 oz Dry-Aged Tomahawk Ribeye
- Classic Surf & Turf pairings featuring Black Angus filet and lobster
- Indulgent shareables like a Seafood Tower, Lobster Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Truffle Fries, and Fire-Roasted Portabellas with beef tips
The beverage program was developed alongside sommelier Scott Herrmann, bringing a polished cocktail selection and a wine list that plays equally well with ribeyes and seafood.
Exclusive Space: “The Eagles Nest”

For diners craving privacy — or a hit of pure Kid Rock attitude — the restaurant offers a VIP space called The Eagles Nest. Styled as the artist’s personal “bro cave,” the room includes its own entrance, private bathroom, trophy-style décor, and a menu centered around premium cuts and classic steakhouse comforts.
New Documentary: Rock The Country
Alongside the restaurant’s debut, Kid Rock released a new documentary titled Rock The Country, available on his YouTube channel. The film takes fans behind the scenes of the namesake festival, capturing its energy, scale, and the camaraderie between artists.
The documentary features appearances from Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Koe Wetzel, Gretchen Wilson, and others, with backstage stories, rehearsal footage, and personal reflections woven throughout.
More Than a Restaurant — A Tribute to His Roots

For Kid Rock, The Detroit Cowboy represents more than a business venture. It’s a tribute to the two cities that shaped him — Detroit and Nashville — and a gathering place for people who share his “work hard, play hard” spirit.
“It’s where Detroit grit meets Nashville swagger,” he said. “A place for folks who love good food, good music, and this country.”
