Erika Kirk, widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, has announced that she will take over certain duties of The Charlie Kirk Show podcast and pledged to preserve her late husband’s influence by continuing the platform under a rotating host model. She also spoke about future plans for Turning Point USA.

Charlie Kirk was killed on 10 September 2025 during a stop on his American Comeback Tour at Utah Valley University, where he was debating with the audience when a rooftop gunman opened fire.

Erika Kirk has already been named CEO of Turning Point USA, taking the reins of the organization her husband founded in 2012. Turning Point is an American conservative organization with chapters at over 2,000 colleges nationwide and has received a flood of support and requests for new chapters in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s death, amid the backdrop of rising fears of political violence in the USA. Charlie Kirk was a prominent voice in the conservative movement, and his death has left a leadership vacuum in the network of youth-oriented activism he helped build. Erika has vowed to continue her husband’s legacy.

Speaking on the podcast, Erika affirmed, “My husband’s voice will live on. The show will go on,” and said the program would move forward with rotating hosts and unreleased footage. She confirmed that Turning Point USA will continue its events, tours, and mission, noting they have been “very intentional…to always keep Charlie first and his dreams alive.”

Speaking of the influx of interest in Turning Point since her husband’s death, she said: “Turning Point USA is continuing, and it is. I mean, we are so blessed to have more work than we even could ever dream of. I mean, it’s beautiful. And Turning Point Action, full steam ahead. So powerful.”

Referring to her mother and Charlie’s relationship, she described them as “best friends” and recalled her mother once saying to Charlie: “You know what, honey? God has blessed you with an amazing voice, and you will be the Rush Limbaugh of your generation, ” comparing him to the prominent conservative political commentator.

Erika Kirk continued: “And to see the Charlie Kirk show grow from that moment until now has been so humbling and beautiful, and he loved every single day. He read every email. I know you guys have said that so many times, but I can vouch for that because there were times where he would forward me some of the emails that he would get, and he wouldn’t even say anything. He would just forward the email. And to me, it was almost like an extended form of family where you guys were the pulse point of and the connection point of Turning Point USA, TP Action, the Charlie Kirk Show,” adding, “It has a movement attached to it. It has the youth movement attached to it. And so for Charlie, the audience was a barometer of what do we need to be focusing on? The audience is brilliant.”

She also touched on Charlie’s connection with his daughter, Gigi, describing him as an “unbelievable husband and father” and recalling how he would bring something onto the show that Gigi had given him because his daughter watched and would look out for it.

Alluding to free speech, Erika said: “Charlie’s show became the north star for freedom of speech, but in a way where when he spoke and whatever came across his desk or whatever he put on the air was right. It wasn’t inflated. It wasn’t awkwardly optimistic that had no leverage behind it. It was the gold standard.”

While confirming that the Charlie Kirk Show would continue, Erika also stated that all of Charlie’s social media platforms would continue, but that they would not be tweeting “as if it’s him,” but explained how they planned to keep his legacy alive.

“What’s happening is the team is keeping this alive because we have Charlie in each and every one of us,” she said, “and it is going to be continually the north star of the conservative movement of the voice of the youth of the voice of the base, and that will not end. And the members only will continue to grow, and that will be the tight-knit network of family members that supported and loved Charlie and the team. And that’s what it is. It’s a family and a team, and this is not going anywhere. It’s just not.”

Erika reassured listeners that there was plenty of content in reserve, saying: “We have decades worth of my husband’s voice. We have unused material from speeches that he’s had that no one has heard yet. We have Sunday specials lined up to the brim because my husband was so intentional about making sure that there was enough content always.”
