LDT “Billie Eilish Blasts Elon Musk as He Nears Trillionaire Status: “Pathetic… Coward””

LOS ANGELES — Pop superstar Billie Eilish is publicly calling out Elon Musk, unleashing a blistering critique of the Tesla and SpaceX CEO as analysts predict he could become the world’s first trillionaire.

Eilish took to her Instagram Stories this week, sharing a series of infographics from the activist group My Voice, My Choice, outlining how a trillion-dollar fortune could be used to tackle global crises — from ending world hunger and expanding clean-water access to rebuilding war-torn regions. She punctuated the posts with her own expletive-laced message aimed directly at Musk, calling him “pathetic,” a “coward,” and a series of other censored insults.

Her comments come days after Tesla shareholders approved Musk’s controversial compensation package, which could ultimately grant him nearly $1 trillion in stock if he meets the company’s performance milestones over the coming decade. The approval reignited long-standing debates about wealth concentration and billionaire responsibility.

Eilish, 23, has increasingly used her platform to criticize extreme wealth inequality. Earlier this month, at the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards, she pointedly urged billionaires in attendance — including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg — to consider redistributing more of their wealth. She also recently pledged $11.5 million from her world tour to support food-security programs and environmental causes.

Her direct attack on Musk has since gone viral, triggering waves of support from fans and activists while sparking heated backlash from Musk loyalists and free-market advocates.

Musk has not publicly responded to Eilish’s remarks.

As the world watches whether Musk’s compensation plan delivers the first trillion-dollar net worth in history, Eilish’s comments add a new and unexpected voice to a broader conversation — one centered not only on economics, but on ethics, accountability, and the future of global philanthropy.
