LS ‘Emmerdale’s Mike Parr Celebrated by Co-Stars After Emotional ‘One Month’ Baby Tribute’ LS
Emmerdale favourite Mike Parr has melted hearts across social media after sharing a deeply emotional post marking one month since the birth of his baby girl. The actor, known for playing Ross Barton on the ITV soap, welcomed his daughter Suzie with partner Isabelle Du Plessis in September, and the couple’s joy has captivated fans and fellow cast members alike.
A Love Letter to His Daughter
Posting a tender photo of himself cradling Suzie shortly after her birth, Mike poured his heart into a caption that left followers moved. “Somehow spending time with Suzie makes time stand still. Somehow holding Suzie makes me feel held,” he wrote. “How have I never been so exhausted and yet never felt so alive? The oxymoron of love.”
The post reflected the wonder and raw emotion of early fatherhood, as Mike described feeling full, awake, and purposeful through every sleepless moment. He also revealed that the picture was their “first selfie” taken while Isabelle slept, adding that their daughter wore a tiny knitted hat made by her mum.
“One month old today and the best month of our lives. We love you,” he concluded.
Co-Stars Flood Him with Love
It didn’t take long for the Emmerdale family to respond. Bradley Riches, who plays Mike’s on-screen brother Lewis Barton, left a heartfelt message: “Love Suzie and you so much.” Beth Cordingly and Michelle Hardwick, known to fans as Ruby Milligan and Vanessa Woodfield, both commented simply, “Beautiful,” while former Emmerdale and Coronation Street star Natalie Anderson added, “Awww gorgeous! Congratulations!”
The outpouring of affection showed just how loved the actor is, both on and off set.
From Screen Drama to Real-Life Joy
Mike first joined Emmerdale in 2013 as the fiery Ross Barton and made his long-awaited return to the Dales last year. His character’s turbulent life has included heartbreak, betrayal, and redemption, but the actor’s real-life storyline couldn’t be more different.
Earlier this year, he and Isabelle announced their pregnancy following a challenging journey. Mike praised Isabelle’s strength, revealing she battled hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, throughout the pregnancy.
Now, a month after Suzie’s arrival, the couple’s posts radiate pure happiness, marking the beginning of a new and precious chapter for the actor.
