LDT “Chadwick Boseman to Receive Posthumous Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame”

LOS ANGELES — The legacy of the late actor Chadwick Boseman will be immortalized on Hollywood Boulevard as he is set to receive a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, five years after his passing.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that the ceremony will take place on November 20, 2025, at 6904 Hollywood Boulevard, where Boseman’s widow, Simone Ledward-Boseman, will accept the honor on his behalf.

Industry figures who worked closely with the actor will participate in the ceremony, including Black Panther director Ryan Coogler and Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis, both of whom are scheduled to deliver tribute speeches. The event will be hosted by Steve Nissen, President and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez called the honor “a deeply meaningful celebration of a performer whose influence transcended the screen,” noting Boseman’s cultural impact and global reach.

Boseman, who died in 2020 at age 43 after a private battle with colon cancer, is remembered for his groundbreaking portrayal of King T’Challa in Black Panther and for bringing historical icons to life, including Jackie Robinson, James Brown, and Thurgood Marshall.

His star will serve as a permanent tribute to a career marked by excellence, purpose, and inspiration — a legacy that continues to resonate around the world.
