f.Eagles Rookie Star Skips Locker-Room Celebration to Check on Injured Packers Guard After 10–7 Win.f

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — The Philadelphia Eagles walked out of Lambeau Field with a hard-fought 10–7 victory over the Green Bay Packers, but the most memorable moment of the night came long after the final whistle — and it had nothing to do with the scoreboard.

Late in the second quarter, as Packers quarterback Jordan Love tried to escape pressure, rookie edge rusher Nolan Smith of the Eagles made clean contact, forcing Love to stumble backward. In the chaos, Love’s fall landed awkwardly on the leg of veteran guard

Elgton Jenkins, who immediately collapsed, clutching his ankle. Moments later, medical staff ruled it a fracture of the lower leg, ending his night — and likely his season.

While the rest of the Eagles were celebrating a defensive masterpiece inside the locker room, Smith quietly slipped away from the noise. He made his way toward the Packers’ medical area, asking team officials if he could check on Jenkins. Witnesses say the rookie waited patiently until trainers allowed him to step in briefly.

“It wasn’t about guilt,” one Eagles staffer shared. “He just wanted to make sure Jenkins was okay. You could tell the hit weighed on him.”

Jenkins, though in visible pain, appreciated the gesture. “He didn’t have to come by,” the veteran lineman said later. “But he did. That says a lot about who he is — young kid, big heart. No hard feelings at all. That’s football.”

Smith returned to the locker room quietly, joining the tail end of the victory huddle with a subdued smile. No cameras, no spotlight — just a silent acknowledgment of respect between opponents.

In a league built on collisions and rivalry, Nolan Smith’s small act of empathy cut through the noise — a reminder that humanity still exists beneath the helmets and headlines.
