LDT “Vince Gill to Receive the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 CMA Awards”
Country legend Vince Gill will become the 10th recipient of the prestigious Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, one of the highest honors bestowed by the Country Music Association.
The award recognizes “an iconic artist who has attained the highest degree of recognition in Country Music,” honoring not only musical excellence but also lasting cultural impact. It is presented only in select years, underscoring its significance within the genre.
Gill, a Country Music Hall of Famer, has built a career spanning more than four decades, with over 20 Grammy Awards, countless chart-topping hits, and collaborations that have bridged traditional and contemporary country sounds.
A special tribute performance celebrating Gill’s remarkable life and legacy will air during the 2025 CMA Awards, broadcast live on November 19.
“Vince Gill’s influence reaches far beyond country music — his artistry, generosity, and integrity embody everything this award stands for,” said CMA CEO Sarah Trahern in a statement.
