The first episode of season 2 will air on BBC One on Saturday 2nd August at 9:10pm, while all six episodes will also be available on BBC iPlayer from that date.

The series, which has been inspired by BBC Radio 4’s audio drama Annika Stranded, stars Nicola Walker as Annika, the detective inspector heading up the fictional Glasgow-based Marine Homicide Unit.

Since season 2 first arrived on U&Alibi, there hasn’t been any news regarding a potential third season of the show.

Since the season aired, Walker has gone on to have a role in Mary & George, and also returned to her starring role in The Split for two Barcelona-set specials.

Meanwhile, she has also narrated a new crime documentary film, and is set to star in unconventional anti-romcom Alice and Steve for Disney+.
