SD. Sydney Sweeney Opens Up About Hollywood Pressure to Get Botox at 16

Sydney Sweeney is speaking candidly about the intense beauty standards she faced growing up in Hollywood. In a new interview with Variety, the Christy actress revealed that at just 16 years old, she was advised to get Botox to “fix” her naturally strong eyebrow muscles.

“I have very strong eyebrow muscles,” Sweeney said. “And I had someone tell me to fix my face or else I’m not going to make it. I should get Botox. I was 16!”

Despite the early pressure, Sweeney has never had any cosmetic procedures and remains committed to aging naturally. “It’s really funny. I’ll see things online like ‘comparison pictures,’” she explained. “I’m like, ‘I’m 12 in that photo. Of course I’m going to look different. I have makeup on now and I’m 15 years older.’”

Sweeney’s remarks shed light on the unrealistic expectations placed on young actors in Hollywood, highlighting the challenges of maintaining self-confidence while navigating a career in the public eye.

The Euphoria and Christy star continues to advocate for embracing natural beauty, proving that resilience and authenticity can go hand-in-hand in an industry often obsessed with appearances.
