LDT “📰 Disturbed Announce Indefinite Touring Hiatus Following European Tour Controversy 🎸”
Legendary metal band Disturbed has announced an indefinite hiatus from touring, following a turbulent European run that concluded in Glasgow on October 28, 2025. Frontman David Draiman confirmed that the band needs “a nice, long break,” leaving the timeline for future live performances uncertain.
The decision comes after a series of protests and canceled shows during the tour. Several incidents, including the October 15 Brussels show being canceled by local authorities due to security concerns, were linked to Draiman’s public political statements, most notably his 2024 social media post expressing support for the Israeli military.

On October 29, Draiman addressed fans on X (formerly Twitter):
“Headed home!!! Thanks so much to EVERYONE that made #TheSickness25 a tour to truly remember! Crew, Management, Agent, Promoters, and ESPECIALLY my brothers in Disturbed. Not sure when we will be headed back out. We all need a nice long break. Hope to see you when we do.”
Despite the touring pause, guitarist Dan Donegan revealed that the band is working on new studio material, suggesting that fans can still expect new music in the future.
The hiatus marks a major shift for Disturbed, who have been a consistent touring presence since their formation. The band celebrated the 25th anniversary of their breakthrough album The Sickness during this tour, which now stands as the last live performances for the foreseeable future.
Fans are left with a mixed message: while studio work continues, the band’s return to the stage remains uncertain, showing how global reactions and political controversies can impact even the most established acts.
