Kim Kardashian chose a look from MaisonMargiela’s “Couture” collection — specifically the Fall 2025 Couture — which included a strapless corset dress and accompanying sleeves/cape, along with a mask that covered her entire face and hair.
A year ago (Gala 2024), Kim wore a vintage ThierryMugler design — a white bodysuit/corset + hot-pants + long cape, from the Spring 1998 Haute Couture collection.
As for accessories: she wore a diamond necklace with green stones and a cross, along with long nails that matched the outfit.
As for hair and makeup: Hair was wavy, parted to one side; makeup tended to be pink — but all was almost “covered” by the mask in the Margiela model.
Public and fashion world feelings & reactions
There are two clear streams of feelings:
Support: Many people praised Kim for “daring” to experiment, “committing” to an extreme/cool fashion image, making a clear mark. For example: “I liked that she committed to the full look… this is actually interesting.”
Criticism: Some fans and netizens thought the outfit was too “weird”, even “cheap” or “lacking in class” compared to the red carpet criteria. One article wrote:
