“If you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? No hate, but give your money away, shorties,” she added. “We’re in a time right now where the world is really, really bad and really dark and people need empathy and help more than kind of ever, especially in our country.”

The Bad Guy singer concluded, “I’d say if you have money, it would be great to use it for good things, maybe give it to some people that need it.”

One person in the crowd to whom the message applied was Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook. The billionaire, reportedly worth about $227.9 billion, was seen with his wife, Priscilla Chan, at the event.Content cannot be displayed without consent

Billie, according to CelebrityNetWorth.com, has her own staggering net worth of $50 million. Billie has also been referred to as a “nepo baby,” born to actors Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell.

Though she herself has been financially successful, the star also announced at the WSJ Innovator Awards that she was donating $11.5 million from her most recent tour—the Hit Me Hard and Soft World Tour—to charities focusing on fighting food inequity and climate change.

In an interview published in WSJ Magazine on the same day as the awards, Billie spoke about making her tour more environmentally friendly through plant-based catering, biodegradable confetti, and using recycled cotton to create merchandise.

This comes after Billie urged Congress to support humanitarian aid in Gaza. The singer commented on a TikTok made by popular children’s content creator, Ms. Rachel, that highlighted atrocities that Palestinian children are going through, including limited access to food and baby formula.
