3S.Report: Steelers ownership growing ‘frustrated’ and ‘impatient’ with Mike Tomlin

Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers on the “fire Mike Tomlin” bandwagon may have received some good news for a change — as a new report from Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac indicates that Art Rooney II isn’t thrilled about the current shape of the team.

During a Steelers chat with fans, Dulac was asked if Rooney was “angry” with Tomlin over the lack of playoff wins and the recent failures of the highest-paid defense in the league — to which he set the record straight on the strained relationship between ownership and head coach.

“Angry is not the word,” Dulac wrote. “Frustrated or impatient would be a better choice.”

Rooney wouldn’t be the only one frustrated and impatient over the decade-long playoff disaster, as Steelers legend James Harrison aired his frustrations with the state of the team, claiming “people gotta go” after Pittsburgh’s loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 8.
